John W. Tomac John W. Tomac grew up in Stratford, Conn. He studied art at the Rochester Institute of Technology, where he was also captain of the men’s cross country team. In addition to making illustrations, John’s done stints as a staff artist at a couple of daily newspapers and as an art director at a business magazine. He lives in the Bay Ridge section of Brooklyn with his wife, two sons and one-eyed dog.
